The Opportunity:

We are currently seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to join our Finance Team. The Payroll Administrator will be responsible for ensuring accuracy and timely payroll processing for employees throughout the US and Canada, as well as handling general payroll related questions. Additionally, this candidate will be responsible for a variety of duties essential to guaranteeing accurate payments and records. The ideal candidate will thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment and will be able to work closely with management.

Responsibilities

  • Processing semi-monthly/biweekly payroll for 400+ US employees and bi-weekly payroll for 30+ Canada employees in different Provinces
  • Handle manual/off cycle payroll runs, final checks, direct deposit rejects, stock payrolls, ect.
  • Assisting team members with post payroll reports and invoicing
  • Ensure compliance with 401k plan, payroll tax laws, other regulations through proper system setup, processes, and review
  • Handle year end processing for payroll accordingly
  • Answering inquiries from employees through email, slack and the company’s internal ticketing system
  • Ensure all garnishments are uploaded to SmartComplinace for processing
  • Continually seek opportunities for process improvement and efficiency.
  • Assist in ad hoc projects as requested

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED
  • 3+ years experience processing multi state payroll
  • Workday payroll experience preferred
  • International/Canada payroll experience also a plus
  • ADP SmartCompliance experience preferred
  • Excellent computer skills, especially Excel (VLookup and Pivot tables), GSuite
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills;ability to transform data into meaningful and actionable insights; ability to research and resolve issues without guidance
  • Self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills; ability to multitask and meet strict deadlines
  • Motivated collaborator with demonstrated capability to partner with other business functions and internal stakeholders globally
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills – verbal, written and facilitation
  • Ability to balance day-to-day activities
  • Desire to thrive and grow in a fast-paced tech environment
