Human Resources Generalist

1. Policy Development and Implementation:
   1. Lead the development of innovative HR policies, programs, and benefits that promote employee well-being, engagement, and productivity.
   2. Ensure policies are communicated effectively and consistently applied across the organization.
2. Payroll Processing:
   1. Manage payroll processing for US and Canada teams with a strong focus on compliance with local laws and regulations.
   2. Stay updated on payroll best practices to streamline processes and improve accuracy.
3. Employee Relations Support:
   1. Provide proactive guidance to employees on HR matters, fostering a positive work environment and resolving issues promptly.
   2. Handle complex or sensitive employee relations cases with empathy, confidentiality, and professionalism.
4. Compliance and Auditing:
   1. Strengthen compliance efforts by conducting regular audits, identifying areas for improvement, and ensuring adherence to legal requirements.
   2. Generate comprehensive reports to track compliance metrics and address any gaps proactively.
5. Additional Responsibilities:
   1. Take on ad-hoc projects assigned by management that contribute to the overall success of the HR function and the organization as a whole.

What You’ll Need to Be Successful 

• 3+ years of Human Resources experience, preferably in a fast-paced, creative, technology, agency,  or start-up environment. 
• Demonstrated interest and experience in fostering culture and DEI initiatives, particularly within a remote work setting.
• ​​Exceptional multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a knack for independently prioritizing tasks.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, representing the organization with professionalism and diplomacy.
• Proficiency in various tech tools including Google Suite, Slack, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), and Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS).
• Ability to maintain the highest level of professionalism and confidentiality with discretion.
• Self-motivated and capable of working autonomously with minimal supervision.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
