Financial Analyst I, UnitedHealth Group

Primary Responsibilities:

• Active preparation and participation in the monthly close process
• Maintain month-end reports and provide value-add commentary on trends
• Work with department heads to establish annual budget inputs
• Support ad hoc analysis
• Analyze historical data related to volume, centers, revenue and expense to identify future trends for forecasting and budget input

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field
• Understanding of GAAP accounting standards
• Work experience in FP&A
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Power Point
• Experience with general ledger research and data manipulation
• Experience taking large amounts of data and translate it into valuable analytical and decision support results
• Proficient in financial modeling

Preferred Qualifications:

• Health care or retail knowledge
• Experience within a publicly held company
• Solid written and oral communication skills within all layers of the organization
