The training facilitation and delivery manager will work across Operations departments to ensure employees are performing at a desired level, to meet the needs of both their specific roles, and the overall needs of the organization. This position is responsible for training Operations’ employees and contract providers to ensure skills, performance, productivity, and quality of work are at deserved levels. The training facilitation and delivery manager will lead a team of trainers as direct reports for multiple projects. They will conduct formal observations and provide feedback and coaching to all trainers. 

The training facilitation and delivery manager will ensure that the facts and detail provided in the company’s training, programs, and instructional resources are clinically accurate and relevant to meet the identified needs of the learners, leadership, and organization. Researching and securing qualified speakers to enhance the knowledge of the provider community. Responsible for writing course scripts in collaboration with the Instructional Designers, and vetting vendor course material for clinical relevance and accuracy. Acts in partnership with content development teams to train Clinical Operations employees and providers on new pilots, products and platform updates.

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Manage team of virtual facilitators
  • Coordinate with department leads to manage facilitators’ schedules
  • Measure facilitators skills and competencies
  • Coach and mentor facilitators
  • Develop clinical training content
  • Oversee the writing of course scripts for clinical training
  • Assist in the development of education and training, to include the development of tools and resources, and the evaluation of effectiveness
  • Manage clinical Speaker Series
  • Identify topic
  • Secure speakers 
  • Work through the CE Process with Optum Health Education
  • Evaluate provider network’s training needs
  • Collaborate with the department leaders to identify knowledge gaps
  • Oversee the development of competency tests to determine knowledge deficits
  • Review courses, tools, and resources for clinical accuracy

One year of post-high school education can be substituted/is equivalent to one year of experience.

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years working as a licensed clinical social worker
  • 4+ years of clinical practice as a mental health clinician 
  • 3+ years of experience in training and development
  • Experience working with behavioral health, customer service, training, and development
  • Experience with writing training content
  • Solid knowledge of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and other associated modalities
  • Demonstrated knowledge of theories of adult learning
  • Proficient in Google Suite applications

  • Solid verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent detail-orientation and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently adhering to deadlines and project plans
  • Proficient computer skills with an aptitude for learning
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and use of independent judgment

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington residents is $85,000 to $167,300 per year. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
