Under minimal supervision, the position supports the Workers Compensation- Eberle Vivian Claims team in providing efficient and accurate handling of the technical aspects of Claims processing as well as administrative assistance to the department.
The preferred location for the selected candidate is within a commutable distance to the Kent, WA office to attend collaborative in-person meetings, but will consider remote candidates.
Responsibilities
- Provides support to claim specialist group by accurately completing templates and forms within claims system based on information provided by the claims professional and claims system.
- Request wages and complete wage calculations.
- Update activity logs and claim record to track status of claims activity. Close claim files based on information provided by claim specialist.
- Serve as resource of process and system knowledge to department.
Qualifications
- Associate Degree or equivalent work experience. 3+ years business experience with Washington State Self Insured Workers’ Compensation preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of claims processing. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and make sound judgments; demonstrated problem solving skills.
