This is a senior WC desk role focused on California claims, including lost time/indemnity and litigation. If you’ve run a CA WC desk before, you’ll recognize the vibe: heavy compliance, lots of stakeholders, and you’re expected to move files with judgment, empathy, and clean documentation.

What You’ll Do
• Investigate, evaluate, and resolve complex CA workers’ comp claims (including litigation)
• Analyze exposure, set strategy, and drive claims to resolution
• Communicate with all parties in the claim process to keep momentum and alignment
• Deliver strong claimant service with empathy and professionalism
• Handle claims according to client requirements, internal standards, and CA statutory/regulatory/ethics requirements
• Document and communicate claim activity timely and accurately to support file outcomes
What You Need
• High school diploma
• Minimum 5 years related claims experience
• 3–5+ years hands-on WC adjusting experience specifically including:
• Lost time/indemnity desk handling
• Litigation handling
• California jurisdiction experience
• Active CA designation (CE up to date)
• Strong working knowledge of industry standards and claims practices
• Comfortable with claims and business software

• Bachelor’s degree

Backbone note: this one is not a “remote claims job anyone can learn.” The CA designation + litigation + lost time desk requirement is a pretty hard gate. If you don’t already have CA WC experience and the designation, you’ll probably get screened out early.
