Job Summary and Qualifications
The Vice President Business Development, Pharmacy Benefit Management is responsible for the continued growth of the HealthTrust Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) Program including leading a team of individuals in executing the growth strategy, building and enhancing consulting relationships, developing a comprehensive sales strategy, designing an effective go-to-market plan, and providing overall strategic leadership to support the expansion of the HealthTrust PBM Program.
What you will do in this role includes:
- Lead the sales and marketing strategies, organization and execution to drive business growth, attracting and retaining clients and enhancing brand reputation.
- Develop and execute effective sales strategies to meet and exceed financial targets.
- Assess market potential and develop annual sales and marketing strategic business plans to drive growth, increase market share, and identify new business opportunities.
- Build, develop, train, and manage a sales team to support the execution of the new business development strategy.
- Create and expand consulting relationships, channel partner relationships and other industry related relationships.
- Develop best practices and process for lead generation, campaign results tracking, sales process, CRM applications, reporting, and forecasting.
- Serve as PBM and HealthTrust Program expert to external constituents.
- Be consistently visible in the marketplace to expand the HealthTrust PBM Program market presence.
- Monitor competitive landscape and market conditions to identify opportunities, issues, and risks and recommend strategies to address them.
- Use market insights to inform business strategies and identify opportunities for growth.
- Collaborate on development of materials to support business development activities including educational material, promotional material, webinars, etc.
- Provide leadership in the development of the overall HealthTrust PBM Program strategy including the growth of differentiated programs and services.
- Work closely with other areas within HealthTrust to ensure alignment of sales and marketing strategies with overall business strategies.
What qualifications you will need:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Master’s is a plus
- Minimum of 15 – 20 years of experience in business development for pharmacy benefits with a pharmacy benefits manager, third-party administrator, consulting services business, or similar organization.
- 10 -12 years of experience leading a team in account management, business development, or similar disciplines.
- Strong knowledge of PBM contracting, operations, clinical and other programs, ph MBA, PharmD, RPh is a plus
- Life/Health Insurance Licensure is a plus
- Pharmacy benefit designs, pricing, etc
