What You’ll Do
Receive EMS patient care reports (PCRs) for assigned clients and process them in a timely manner
Research and verify insurance information, confirming coverage is valid for the date of service
Verify patient demographic details such as name, date of birth, and address, and locate missing info when needed
Confirm records are complete and accurate before claims move to coding
Work with internal teams, clients, and external parties as needed to resolve missing or conflicting information
Support additional department tasks as assigned by the manager
What You Need
Knowledge of medical billing and comfort working with patient and insurance records
Strong attention to detail with consistent follow-through and accountability
Ability to multitask, work independently, and stay focused under deadline pressure
Professional communication, good grammar, and a calm, pleasant demeanor
Comfort asking questions during training and taking strong notes
Computer literacy and the ability to work efficiently with two monitors
Dependable and punctual with steady productivity
