Schedule
- Position type: Full-time, remote
- Hours: Monday–Friday, 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. EST
- Location: Remote within the United States – must reside in one of these states:
FL, GA, IL, IN, MI, NC, NJ, NV, NY, PA, SC, TX, or WV - Work setting: 100% work from home (must be able to work EST hours)
Responsibilities
- Answer inbound and outbound calls from potential VA disability clients using an auto-dialer system.
- Follow a scripted set of questions verbatim to gather detailed information and confirm client eligibility.
- Accurately record and update client information in internal systems during and after calls.
- Perform general office and clerical tasks related to intake and documentation.
- Review documents for accuracy and discrepancies, escalating when needed.
- Maintain strict client confidentiality at all times.
- Communicate professionally with clients, coworkers, and supervisors in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED required.
- At least 2 years of telephone customer service or call center experience.
- Prior experience using an auto-dialer and reading from a script is required.
- Data entry and basic computer experience required.
- Legal experience is a plus.
- Previous remote/telecommuting experience is a plus.
Skills & Home Setup
- Minimum typing speed of 35 WPM.
- Able to type and talk simultaneously using a hands-free headset.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a clear, professional phone voice.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable following structured processes.
- Tech-savvy enough to multitask between systems and screens while on calls.
- Reliable, consistent attendance and ability to stay focused for prolonged periods of phone and computer work.
- Dedicated home workspace with:
- Desk, chair, and basic office setup
- Quiet, distraction-free environment
- Personal high-speed wired internet (Wi-Fi not acceptable) with minimum speeds of 100 Mbps download / 20 Mbps upload
- Ability to be logged into the work computer and ready to answer calls during all scheduled hours
