Project Description:

The Unemployment Claims Processors will actively assist the State in processing unemployment claims. Applicants must be based in either Eastern, Central or Mountain Time Zones.

Responsibilities:

  • Accept high volume of inbound calls from unemployment applicants, perform chat services, follow scripts, and process claims accordingly
  • Conduct outbound calls as needed to assist with claim information or identify missing information
  • Document all encounters in clear and concise logs
  • Develop the knowledge of customer needs and trends to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty
  • Consistently meet individual performance standards/metrics

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years of Customer Service and Data Entry experience
  • Call center experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel
  • Typing speed of at least 35 wpm
  • Mus be comfortable being on the phone extended amounts of time, interacting with people while also entering information into possibly multiple screens
  • Must be willing to work normal business hours and occasional weekend days, as needed
  • Must be able to multi task
  • Must have internet connection

Bonus Points If You Have:

  • Unemployment Claims Processing experience
  • 6 months or more experience in a professional call center environment
  • AA Degree
