Responsibilities
- Review and validate trust, LLC, partnership, and corporate documentation (e.g., Articles of Organization, Operating Agreements, Trust Agreements, EIN docs, Certificates of Good Standing)
- Confirm validity and compliance of entities and trusts; ensure signers and trustees have authority to act
- Identify missing or non-compliant documentation and coordinate with internal teams to resolve issues
- Analyze structures for compliance with agency and investor guidelines
- Collaborate with Underwriters, Processors, and Closers to complete documentation before loan decision/funding
- Maintain accurate logs and support QC and post-close audits
- Monitor updates to compliance standards, agency/investor guidelines, and internal procedures
- Serve as a subject matter resource on entity/trust requirements and support internal training efforts
Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Legal Studies, or related field (preferred)
- 2+ years of mortgage operations or underwriting experience (Non-QM/Non-Agency strongly preferred)
- Knowledge of legal documentation for trusts, partnerships, corporations, and LLCs
- Familiarity with Secretary of State search tools and entity verification processes
- Strong attention to detail, analytical ability, and documentation review skills
- Proficiency with Encompass LOS, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe PDF tools
- Strong communication, prioritization, and deadline management skills
Compensation
- $26.32 – $38.46 hourly (based on background, experience, and location)
