  • Knowledge of:
    • Bilingual (English/Spanish) desired, but not required
    • The principles and practices of managed healthcare and health care systems
    • Customer service
    • Care Coordination principles and practices
    • The diverse needs of the Medi-Cal population
  • Ability to:
    • Competently navigate computer systems
    • Use Microsoft Word and Excel, and Alliance systems
    • Work independently with minimal supervision
    • Effectively document, summarize and resolve member concerns and inquiries 
    • Identify, maintain, and protect sensitive HIPAA information (Personal Health Information) and follow procedures to ensure the security of such information
  • Education and Experience:
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Three years (or an Associate’s degree in Health, Social Services or related field or Medical Assistant certification and a minimum of two years) of relevant experience in a healthcare setting interacting with members, patients and/or providers in meeting service needs; or an equivalent combination of education and experience which would provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be qualifying

OTHER DETAILS

  • While this position is connected to one of our Alliance offices, we are in hybrid remote/in-office work environment right now and we anticipate that the interview process will take place remotely.
  • Our Alliance office locations have officially re-opened and while some employees may work in full-time telecommute schedules, attendance at quarterly company-wide events or department meetings will be expected.
  • Based on the nature of work, this position may require onsite presence, which is dependent on business need. Details about this can be reviewed during the interview process
  • This is a temporary position, and does not provide the benefits that are listed below (it is standard language from our regular job posts and cannot be altered or removed)

The full compensation range for this position is listed below. 

Pay Range: $25.00 – $31.55 per hour

The actual compensation for this role will be determined by our compensation philosophy, analysis of the selected candidate’s qualifications (direct or transferrable experience related to the position, education or training), as well as other factors (internal equity, market factors, and geographic location).
