We’re hiring a temporary Administrative Assistant with a preference that the person live in Austin or Dallas, TX. This is a full-time, temporary position with an expected end date of March 28, 2025. This is a home-based position within the Austin or Dallas areas.

Responsibilities

The position will manage data entry including customer donor records and donor and donation information as well as build donor receipts, run reports, and provide direct field support such as customer service, training, and troubleshooting issues. You will use customer databases such as Dynamics and Auction Pay.

  • Receive and respond to shared inbox requests and inquiries.
  • Data entry.
  • Creation of acknowledgement letters/receipts.
  • Some creation of graphics as needed.
  • Gathering of RSVP/contact information.
  • Tracking and updating mailing lists / contact lists.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one year of experience in providing administrative support, data entry or similar.
  • Commitment to complete accurate data entry, as well as accurate spelling and grammar.
  • Ability to interface with external and internal customers in a friendly, professional manner via phone and email.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, mail-merge knowledge is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Outlook, and Teams.

Compensation & Benefits

The expected pay range will  be $18.10 to $23.00 per hour. Pay is commensurate with experience; geographic differentials to the pay range may apply. American Heart Association reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range.
