Schedule
- Full-time, remote (US-based only)
- Technology provided to support at-home work
- Standard clinical/administrative hours
Responsibilities
- Retrieve and review medical records; complete patient paperwork and prior authorizations
- Coordinate referrals to specialists and support care navigation
- Virtually greet patients before neurology visits to ensure a smooth experience
- Provide patient advocacy with providers, insurance, and billing teams while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Follow standardized processes and documentation for quality assurance
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams and community partners to support patients
- Represent Synapticure internally and externally with professionalism and empathy
Requirements
- Active Medical Assistant Certification (required)
- 2+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant
- Experience with medical records handling and referrals (preferred)
- Startup or high-growth organization experience (preferred)
- Exceptional communication skills; bilingual English/Spanish a plus
- Strong organizational skills, accountability, and ability to work independently in a remote setting
