Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field OR 5+ years of experience in IT system administration and project management, preferably within a healthcare environment. 
  • Experience with EHR system implementation and support. 
  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulatory requirements, including HIPAA. 
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage IT infrastructure and align with clinical goals. 
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
System Administration: 
  • Manage and maintain IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and workstations, ensuring high availability and security. 
  • Administer Linux and Windows servers, performing routine monitoring, system analysis, and backup procedures to maintain system integrity. 
  • Oversee user account management, system updates, and compliance with healthcare regulations like HIPAA. 
  • Monitor and manage cloud environments (AWS/Azure) to ensure scalability, performance, and security. 
  • Troubleshoot basic to moderately complex application and system issues, escalating more complex issues as appropriate. 
Project Management: 
  • Lead healthcare IT projects, including the implementation and optimization of Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, scheduling tools, and billing solutions. 
  • Define project scope, deliverables, and timelines, ensuring alignment with clinical and operational goals. 
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, collaborating with clinical staff, IT support, and vendors to deliver IT solutions. 
  • Develop and track project timelines, ensuring on-time and within-budget completion. 
Healthcare IT and Application Support: 
  • Serve as the primary contact between clinical staff, application support teams, and informatics, ensuring effective communication and system support. 
  • Lead the implementation and support of healthcare software systems, ensuring interoperability and user adoption. 
  • Provide leadership for the application support team, establishing best practices and mentoring staff on troubleshooting and issue resolution. 
Process Optimization & Automation: 
  • Identify opportunities for system and process improvements, leveraging automation tools to enhance clinical and administrative workflows. 
  • Collaborate with clinical teams to optimize workflows, improve patient care, and streamline operations through IT solutions. 
  • Create and manage automation scripts using PowerShell or Python to enhance operational efficiency.

  • Process Improvement & Automation: Skilled in identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing automation to streamline operations.
