What You’ll Do
• Lead and supervise the collections team across all business divisions to recover outstanding receivables
• Set collector KPIs and monitor progress toward goals, aging targets, recovery rates, and DSO improvement
• Build a results-driven, customer-first culture focused on accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement
• Coach and develop collectors through training, one-on-ones, and team performance reviews
• Design and execute collection strategies that improve cash flow and reduce bad-debt exposure
• Analyze A/R data to spot trends, risks, and process improvement opportunities
• Prepare and deliver reporting on aging, collections performance, and key metrics to leadership
• Implement and leverage automation to streamline workflows and improve visibility
• Manage high-risk accounts: term reviews, escalations, negotiated payment arrangements, and escalation protocols
• Coordinate write-offs and compile documentation for external collections placement
• Partner cross-functionally with Sales and Customer Support to resolve disputes, reduce DSO, and improve collections outcomes
• Ensure compliance with FDCPA and other applicable federal and state regulations (including Rosenthal) and internal policies
• Partner with A/R leadership and legal counsel on delinquency-related litigation as needed
• Manage relationships with external collection agencies, legal counsel, and third-party vendors
What You Need
• 5+ years progressive credit and collections management experience (multi-division or high-volume preferred)
• Proven supervisory or people-lead experience in collections with measurable results and process improvement wins
• Strong financial analysis and credit risk assessment skills to protect company assets
• Deep knowledge of collections compliance (FDCPA, Rosenthal, and relevant state/federal regulations)
• Proficiency with NetSuite, Salesforce, and Maxio (Chargify)
• Advanced Excel and reporting tools skills
• Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills for complex customer situations
• Ability to prioritize competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
