What You’ll Do
• Lead and supervise the collections team across multiple business divisions to recover outstanding receivables
• Set collector KPIs and monitor progress against goals, aging targets, DSO, recovery rates, and delinquency trends
• Build a results-driven, customer-centric culture focused on accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement
• Coach and develop team members through ongoing training, 1:1s, and team performance reviews
• Design and implement collection strategies to improve cash flow and reduce bad-debt exposure
• Create and deliver reporting on AR aging, collections performance, and key metrics, highlighting trends and opportunities
• Analyze data to spot issues and drive process optimization
• Manage high-risk customer relationships: escalations, term reviews, and negotiated payment arrangements
• Execute approved bad-debt write-offs and prep documentation for external collections placement
• Partner with Sales, Customer Support, and other teams to reduce DSO, resolve disputes, and improve collections outcomes
• Ensure compliance with federal and state collection regulations (including FDCPA and applicable state laws) and internal policies
• Coordinate with external collection agencies, legal counsel, and third-party vendors, including litigation support when needed
• Leverage automation and tools to streamline workflows and improve visibility

What You Need
• 5+ years progressive credit and collections management experience (multi-division or high volume preferred)
• Proven collections leadership experience with measurable results and process improvements
• Strong financial analysis skills: credit risk assessment, data-driven decision making, and trend spotting
• Working knowledge of collection compliance and regulations (FDCPA and applicable state laws)
• Proficiency with ERP/CRM and AR tools (NetSuite and Salesforce noted; Maxio/Chargify a plus)
• Advanced Excel skills and comfort building reports that leadership can actually use
• Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills with professionalism in complex customer situations
• Ability to prioritize, manage competing deadlines, and operate effectively in a fast paced environment
