Schedule
- Remote (United States)
- Not full-time or part-time: you pick up optional coverage shifts as needed
- Coverage window: 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. PST (may include weekends, overnights, and holidays with advance notice)
- Preference for daytime shifts starting 5:00 a.m.–11:00 a.m. PST and ending 2:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m. PST
What You’ll Do
- Cover shifts as needed to support the Safety Support Specialist (SSS) team
- Review Beacon alerts tied to student safety and mental health risk
- Escalate urgent alerts via phone calls to school administrators (ex: counselors) for appropriate action
- Identify emerging issues and trends, including sensitive topics, and contribute to solutions
- Help build support resources (knowledge base articles, canned responses, training/enablement content)
- Participate in team-building projects
- Support technical support tickets as business needs require
What You Need
- Flexible availability to pick up shifts, including weekends/overnights/holidays with advance notice
- Strong emotional intelligence, calm presence, and professionalism with sensitive/high-stress content
- Ability to follow protocols while thinking fast in edge-case scenarios
- Organized, reliable, able to work independently in a fast-changing environment
- 1+ year in a support or customer-facing role (Trust & Safety, moderation, or school-based roles like teacher/counselor/therapist/social worker are a plus)
- 1+ year in a white-glove customer service role
- Experience with Zendesk and handling tickets + phone calls
- Strong written and verbal communication (college degree preferred)
- Bonus: non-English language skills
