Sr Service Desk Specialist – Remote

Job Description

The Sr Service Desk Specialist is responsible for providing an advanced level of support to our IT users provides training and acts as an escalation point to the associate and specialists on the team.

Responsibilities

  • Resolve more complex users incidents or questions as an internal escalation point
  • Resolve advanced work orders
  • Provide leadership, training and continued mentorship to new hires
  • Document standard services and improvements
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in a Technical or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; HS diploma or GED is required
  • 2 years of service desk experience
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship

  • Excellent communications skills
  • Strong problem analysis and solving skills
  • Ability to adapt to different demands

Preferred Qualifications

  • IT Customer Service experience
  • Ticket tracking system experience

Minimum Physical Job Requirements

  • Ability to sit 6 or more hours per day
  • Ability to work in close proximity to other team members and in a secured location without natural light
  • Frequently required to reach with hands and arms
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, and crouch
  • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Reporting Structure

  • Reports to a Supervisor or Manager in the Information Technology department

Potential pay for this position ranges from $29.38 – $44.18 based on experience and skills. Pay range may vary by 8% depending on applicant location.
