Job Description:
Great News! You are eligible for a cash bonus!

Sign-on Bonus: up to $2K*

*Bonus is paid in the following increments within 30 days of the following milestones:

$500 following 60 days employed

$500 following 120 days employed

$1000 following 365 days employed

To receive the bonus, you must be employed with Discover at the time of payment. Stated bonus payouts are before taxes and deductions as applicable to you.

Class Start Date: June 2023

Shift Requirements:

(OH) START times of 11:30 AM, and 1:30 PM EST
(UT) START time of 9:30 AM, and 11:30 AM MDT
(AZ) START time of 8:30 AM, and 10:30 AM MST
​Note: Shifts are Monday- Friday with weekends as assigned

What You’ll Do

Handle chats, emails and calls for all levels of delinquent accounts.

Provide all payment options or strategies to resolve card member delinquency issues.

Collect on delinquent accounts as assigned to minimize losses to the company.

Assist with training less experienced team members.

How You’ll Do It

Review credit history and other available information on delinquent accounts.

Call or send letters to request payment or utilize skip tracing tools to facilitate next card member contact of delinquent accounts.

Build rapport with card members and work to secure repayment on delinquent accounts.

Maintain productivity standards while ensuring prompt follow up.

Adhere to Fair Debt Collection and Practices law and company Collection Practices policy.

Help less experienced team members strengthen their collection and customer service skills.

Qualifications You’ll Need

The Basics

Effective verbal communication and problem-solving skills

Bonus Points If You Have

High school diploma or GED

1+ years of experience in collections, customer service, call center or related field

A quiet workspace

Internet service with a minimum speed of 5mbps

Personal smartphone or a tablet

INDDFS, #ZRDFS, #Remote and #BI-Remote

A credit screening may be required for some roles within Discover Home Lending.

Compensation:

The base pay for this position generally ranges between $18.00 to $23.58. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
