What You’ll Do
- Assist leadership in assigning and organizing team workloads
- Perform payer and claim research with proper documentation
- Conduct weekly/monthly quality audits
- Train new and existing employees on billing systems and best practices
- Prepare and submit claims accurately and on time
- Use payer portals to verify status and solve claim issues
- Respond to written claim inquiries promptly
- Work queues and follow up for resolution and cash posting goals
- Monitor trends and escalate compliance or payer issues
- Contact payers to resolve denials, underpayments, and missing info
- Maintain productivity and quality benchmarks
- Support team projects and continuous improvement
What You Need
- High school diploma
- 2 years revenue cycle management experience
- 2+ years medical billing experience
- 1+ year HCFA/CMS-1500 billing
- 1+ year Blue Cross Blue Shield claims experience
- Strong problem-solving and follow-up mindset
- Intermediate medical terminology knowledge
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office
- Able to train others and support team success
