What You’ll Do
- Assist supervisors in organizing daily work assignments for the team
- Conduct weekly and monthly quality audits to ensure compliance and efficiency
- Train new and existing employees on billing systems, tools, and resources
- Prepare, edit, and submit claims accurately and on time per payer contracts and guidelines
- Manage claims through payer provider portals and follow up to resolve delays or denials
- Contact insurance carriers daily by phone or online to obtain claim status and resolve payment issues
- Track and respond to all claim correspondence in a timely manner
- Monitor payer and system trends, reporting issues that could impact cash resolution
- Support the team with documentation, research, and training updates as needed
What You Need
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 2+ years in revenue cycle management
- 2+ years of medical billing experience
- 1+ year of HCFA CMS 1500 claim processing experience
- 1+ year of Blue Cross Blue Shield CMS-1500/HCFA claims and billing experience
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and medical terminology
- Ability to identify and resolve claim or payer issues effectively
- Leadership skills with experience coaching or mentoring team members preferred
