What You’ll Do
- Manage end-to-end state licensing, renewals, permits, and registrations for multi-state mental health providers (Counselors, Social Workers, MFTs, NPs, Psychiatrists)
- Serve as primary liaison to state licensing boards, managing audits, regulatory changes, scope updates, and board inquiries
- Prequalify clinicians for licensure eligibility by reviewing education, exams, supervision history, and experience against state-specific requirements
- Provide white-glove licensing support by completing delegable tasks on clinicians’ behalf to streamline timelines
- Coordinate background checks, fingerprinting, and related compliance services per state board requirements
- Oversee licensure renewals, ensuring timely submissions, follow-up, and ongoing compliance
- Maintain expertise in state licensing laws and improve state-by-state processes for consistency and audit readiness
- Research CEU requirements and proactively notify clinicians of renewal deadlines and compliance obligations
- Educate internal stakeholders on licensing regulations, updates, and compliance considerations
What You Need
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent career experience in healthcare (behavioral healthcare a plus)
- Experience with clinician or MD licensing in multiple states
- Proficient knowledge of TJC Behavioral Health and HIPAA standards
- 2+ years of relevant experience
- Microsoft Office proficiency
- Proactive, initiative-driven mindset with strong follow-through
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Strong project management skills in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work quickly while maintaining accuracy
- Ability to meet goals, document activity, and maintain records
