Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Credentialing Specialist with specialized experience in Intraoperative Neuromonitoring (IOM) and/or Extensive Hospital Credentialing Experience to join our Medical Staff Services team. This role is responsible for the end-to-end credentialing and privileging of both IOM physicians and technologists, ensuring compliance with Joint Commission, NCQA and applicable state and federal regulations. Proficiency in Salesforce and MD-Staff is required to manage credentialing workflows and maintain accurate provider records.

*This will be a remote positon, but candidate must be able to attend in person training if hired for the role.*
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage credentialing, recredentialing, and privileging processes for IOM physicians and technologists.
- Ensure provider credentials, including licensure, CNIM certifications, and supervising physician documentation, are verified and current.
- Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, NCQA and state/federal regulations.
- Maintain provider records using MD-Staff and Salesforce, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Track and monitor expirable documents such as licenses, board certifications, and malpractice coverage.
- Coordinate onboarding of new IOM providers, including primary source verifications and background checks.
- Support and monitor FPPE/OPPE processes in accordance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with medical staff, legal, and operational leadership to ensure timely and compliant credentialing decisions.
- Assist with development, planning, and implementation of credentialing/privileging procedures and criteria.
- Assist in audits, accreditation surveys, and internal quality reviews.
- Facilitate the annual review of Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules, and Regulations.
- Develop and maintain IOM-specific privilege forms and assist with criteria updates as needed.
- Ensure compliance with Texas Standardized Credentialing requirements where applicable.
- Participate in quality improvement and continuous learning initiatives.
- Provide mentorship and training for new staff as needed.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years of credentialing experience, preferably in IOM, neurodiagnostic, or allied health
- Proficiency with MD-Staff, Salesforce, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint)
- Solid understanding of Joint Commission, NCQA and credentialing standards
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and shifting priorities independently
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience credentialing IOM technologists and supervising physicians
- Experience with credentialing software and database management
- Familiarity with CNIM certification ABRET guidelines, and neuromonitoring practice standards
- Knowledge of state licensing and medical staff organizational structures
- Prior experience supporting medical staff committees, bylaws, and regulatory documentation
