Full-time, 100% remote. Must have reliable high-speed internet and a HIPAA-compliant home workspace (secure, private, no public Wi-Fi unless using a secure company VPN).
What You’ll Do
⦁ Post manual and electronic payments (ERAs) for patient and insurance payments, adjustments, and denials
⦁ Locate and reconcile remittances through portals and clearinghouses
⦁ Read and interpret EOBs and apply copays, coinsurance, and deductibles to patient responsibility
⦁ Review account balances to confirm posting accuracy and resolve unapplied accounts
⦁ Perform deposit downloads, bank reconciliations, and daily cash reconciliation/reporting
⦁ Research and resolve unidentified deposits and manage posting issue work queues
⦁ Identify trends/issues and support reporting
⦁ Cross-train and assist with coverage, training, and special projects as needed
What You Need
⦁ High school diploma or GED (required)
⦁ 3–5 years of direct cash handling experience in a healthcare setting (preferred)
⦁ Data entry experience and comfort working in portals/clearinghouses
⦁ Basic to intermediate Excel skills (preferred)
⦁ Strong attention to detail, time management, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
⦁ Strong written and verbal communication skills and team collaboration mindset
⦁ 10-key calculator skills (preferred)
