About From Day One
From Day One is a media outlet and conference series launched in 2018 to help companies navigate rapid change in ways that put people first. We’ve convened 150,000+ attendees, hosted over 1,000 speakers, and produced events in 20+ U.S. cities. Our unique, cross-disciplinary approach brings together leaders in HR, CSR, marketing, communications, as well as authors, activists, and journalists. Our mission: improve the relationship between business and society while fostering a brighter future.
Schedule
- Full-time, remote (US-based)
- Requires occasional travel to in-person conferences nationwide (fall, winter, spring seasons)
Responsibilities
- Research, contact, and secure editorial speakers (authors, executives, academics, activists) for conferences
- Pitch potential speakers with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Track progress toward booking goals and provide regular updates
- Maintain and update contact management systems and databases
- Manage preparation processes to ensure smooth speaker engagement
- Relay interest and passion during outreach to create excitement and secure bookings
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (required)
- 2+ years of professional experience in a related role (event coordination, booking, media, communications, or similar)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to write clearly and persuasively in a business context
- Proficiency with MS Office, Google Workspace, or similar tools
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment
