What You’ll Do
- Identify best-known addresses to locate customers or collateral
- Flag special statuses (bankruptcy, active-duty military, etc.)
- Generate solid leads for Recovery Agents using all available sources
- Communicate with Recovery Agents via phone, email, and recovery systems
- Confirm lienholder status for pursued collateral
- Review credit apps and internal docs to support location efforts
- Assign/reassign repossession orders after validating addresses/employment/leads
- Use judgment to stay compliant with state and federal laws and regulations
- Report trends in recovery data to support their underwriting model
- Make outbound follow-up calls to vendors to verify recovery requirements
- Stay current on impound/notification legislation by state
- Maintain confidentiality and handle some admin tasks as needed
What You Need
- 2+ years of recent skip tracing experience in auto recovery (mandatory)
- Banking or collections experience
- Career stability (they call this out directly)
- Auto finance experience (preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
