- Must reside in one of the following states: AL, AR, AZ, CO, FL, GA, IL, IN, KY, LA, MD, MI, MN, MO, MS, NC, NJ, NV, NY, OH, OK, OR, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, or WI
- Standard business hours with some flexibility based on project needs and deadlines
- Primarily computer-based work with significant time spent in meetings, documentation, and project coordination
What You’ll Do
- Lead and manage enterprise-level data science, AI/ML, automation, and business analytics projects across credit risk, operations, and customer insights
- Serve as senior project manager for credit-focused initiatives while also overseeing AI and non-credit projects that support growth, efficiency, and innovation
- Define scope, milestones, and deliverables in partnership with stakeholders in credit, finance, IT, operations, and the business
- Oversee prioritization and execution of the full Decision Science project portfolio
- Communicate project plans, progress, timelines, and business impact to senior leadership, tailoring messaging for executive audiences
- Ensure effective allocation and utilization of project resources (human, financial, and technical)
- Proactively identify project risks and drive mitigation strategies to keep initiatives on track
- Champion best practices in data science project management, governance, and documentation
- Mentor and support Decision Science team members, fostering growth in technical skills, project execution, and career development
- Contribute to a culture of innovation, accountability, and cross-functional collaboration
What You Need
- Bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, business management, or a related field; master’s degree preferred
- 4 or more years of project management experience in data-driven environments, preferably in consumer lending or finance
- Experience working with data science, AI, and advanced analytics projects
- Hands-on experience with statistical programming or data tools such as R, Python, and SQL
- Familiarity with development and design/software lifecycle concepts
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex concepts and project status clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy under pressure
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work well across teams and functions
- High attention to detail, strong organization, and a disciplined approach to documentation and governance
