Schedule
- Full-time, remote position within the United States
- Standard business hours with deadlines around month-end and year-end close
- Collaboration across finance, HR, operations, and other internal teams
What You’ll Do
- Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations to maintain accurate, complete general ledger records
- Own and reconcile general ledger accounts and support month-end and year-end closing, including preparation of financial statements
- Manage fixed assets, including capitalization and depreciation schedules
- Oversee accounts payable coding, approvals, and expense accruals, and support payroll journal entries and employee benefit reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze monthly balance sheet and income statement variances and support management with financial performance reporting
- Assist with audit, tax, and external reporting schedules, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and GAAP standards, and support implementation of accounting policies and procedures
- Participate in external and internal audit requests and compliance reviews
- Support ERP and finance tool maintenance (e.g., NetSuite, Bill.com, Divvy, Expensify), helping ensure clean, reliable data
- Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements, including system integrations or new entities as the company grows
What You Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience in corporate or public accounting
- CPA or active CPA candidate strongly preferred
- Strong proficiency in Excel and experience with accounting software (NetSuite or similar)
- Familiarity with GAAP and key standards including ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition), ASC 340 (Deferred Commissions), and ASC 350 (Software Capitalization)
- Experience with financial reporting tools and reconciliations
- High attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and excellent organization
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Clear written and verbal communication skills and comfort working cross-functionally
Benefits
- Salary range: 95,000 to 105,000 dollars per year, depending on experience
