What You Will Do
This is your opportunity to join the SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting team of Cimpress, the world leader in mass customization. We’re currently looking for a motivated Manager level individual to join our team who will play a key role in our SEC reporting process and bring a strong technical accounting background that will enable this individual to assist in navigating a complex organization and steady stream of technical topics. This person will also play a key role in supporting the facilitation of financial information to key team members by helping to ensure data integrity in a decentralized environment, as well as driving the completion of the quarterly reporting process, researching and documenting key accounting topics, and prioritizing general day-to-day activities. You are able to work within a high-energy team that works collaboratively across many functions and can effectively interact cross-functionally with our central corporate teams and the accounting and finance teams within our decentralized businesses. Reporting to the Senior Manager, SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting, the Manager, SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting will play a key role in supporting a range of topics, including:
Drive the preparation and completion of SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K, 8-K) and the related process including the following:
- Help run the SEC reporting process and calendar by collaborating with all relevant partners.
- Play a key role in preparation of all disclosure support for 10-Q’s and 10-K’s including preparing detailed footnote support files and disclosure checklists.
- Lead the preparation of the iXBRL tagging requirements and assist with the final review and filing of the 10-Q’s and 10-K’s.
- Support our quarterly earnings release workstream and other internal reporting processes.
- Research and help communicate our accounting positions to partners across our decentralized businesses and our cross-functional corporate finance teams (including corporate accounting, corporate FP&A, corporate systems, equity administration, investor relations, treasury, and tax).
- Provide support to the audit team for walkthrough procedures, quarterly reviews and audit process and lead audit support requests as they pertain to the SEC reporting and technical accounting workstreams.
- Assist in performing accounting research and interpretations for unique and complex transactions such as restructuring or reorganization activities, mergers and acquisitions, investments in minority interests, hedging transactions and other ad hoc topics.
- Support the implementation of newly emerging accounting standards and requirements from the FASB and SEC.
- Become a “super user” of our finance and consolidation tools in an environment that champions continuous improvement.
- Support the continued development of junior members of the team, fostering an environment of growth and constant improvement.
In addition, this role will:
- Assist with the development of global accounting policies, which will require research and significant engagement with our global finance teams.
- Provide advisory type accounting support for our global finance teams, including our corporate accounting, treasury, tax and equity administration teams.
- Develop a deep understanding Cimpress, our businesses and industry, as well as build strong relationships with our local finance teams.

- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in accounting or finance and an active CPA license.
- 5+ years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years of public accounting experience (Big 4 or Regional Firm).
- Strong foundational knowledge of US GAAP and SEC requirements.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience working across operating functions and with other teams in various geographic locations.
- A great teammate mentality with an adaptable style that is comfortable within a high energy, committed culture of continuous improvement.
- Strong analytical skills coupled with good decision-making skills.
- Energetic, hands-on, resourceful self-starter who can collaborate with all levels and functions of the company and takes a consultative and collaborative approach.
- Self-motivated, diligent, detailed, and focused with a proven track record of managing multiple tasks with varying priorities, and a dedication to precision and excellence.
