Pay: $16/hr; Overtime and shift differentials may be available
Duration: This is a temporary position until 12/31/2022. The end date is subject to change depending on business needs. We have two start dates; 10/3/2022 and 10/24/2022. On your first day, you will start an online, self-led, paid training that we expect to last 2 weeks.
Hours: Our customer service hours will be 10am-10pm Eastern Monday-Friday and 12pm-8pm Eastern Saturday and Sunday. You will spend your first two weeks of employment completing our specialized training program to prepare you for providing world-class customer service.
Interview Process: You will receive a response to your application within 48 business hours of submission – please be sure to check your email! If you pass the application review, you will be sent a skills assessment (Loop) that will take approximately 20 minutes. Depending on a passing score on the assessment, you will then be scheduled for a 30-45 min video interview.
About the role: Foreground is a platform of products focused on two key themes: professional photography and customized gifting. Collage is part of the Foreground brand providing a world-class, custom gifting experience. Our customers choose from a wide selection of products (blankets, pillows, canvas, books, etc.), personalize their orders by adding and editing photos, and then find themselves blown-away by our customer service and pace of fulfillment.
The Seasonal Customer Service person will work with Collage.com’s Customer Satisfaction team and is at the heart of what we do. We’re committed to always making sure our customers are happy by troubleshooting questions about our website, helping design products on our site, and assisting them with recently placed orders. We make a difference in people’s lives and we have fun doing it! If this sounds up your alley we want you! We communicate with our customers via live chat, phone calls, and emails. You will be trained to do all three. Nobody likes talking to customer service people who just read a script, so we don’t have them! This job is for someone who can think on their feet and is comfortable and thrives on doing so.
Required Skills & Qualities
- Consistent Attendance – The holiday season is a crucial gift giving time for our customers, and they need our help! You’ll need to provide a schedule you can commit to and show up to all of your scheduled shifts.
- Reliable, fast broadband Internet access and a computer.
- Exceptional people skills with the ability to multitask; previous experience in hospitality, retail, or theater is a plus. Must be friendly, patient and empathetic.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, must love helping customers and be fluent in English both written and verbal.
- Technical aptitude required. Must have strong typing, phone and computer navigation skills. Previous experience with ticketing, chat platforms and Slack are a plus.
- Fulfill obligations responsibly, reliably, and dependably.
