Responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls and clearly explain healthcare benefits, provider options, and services
- Research and resolve member inquiries, providing accurate next steps and referrals
- Make outbound follow-up calls as needed to deliver updates or complete research
- Accurately update member demographic information and records in company systems
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, COBRA, and company guidelines
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to transfer inquiries when appropriate
- Maintain professionalism and empathy on every call while delivering efficient service
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of customer service experience (healthcare industry preferred)
- Strong communication skills with ability to explain complex information clearly
- Detail-oriented and organized; able to manage multiple requests simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and call documentation systems
- Ability to learn new healthcare systems, plans, and regulations quickly
- Reliable attendance and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
