The Schedule Coordinator is responsible for scheduling and coordinating appointments, maximizing clinician schedules, verifying insurance and providing a positive patient experience. The coordinator answers incoming calls within appropriate time lines and meet productivity and quality standards set by the organization. The coordinator is responsible for reviewing provider schedules daily to ensure maximum capacity met. This position is required to effectively communicate with clinical teams, nurses, and clinicians to relay information to the appropriate clinic as needed. Adheres to policies, procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety. Participation in Compliance and other important training is a condition of employment.
This position is full-time Monday – Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. Our office is located at 303 Roma Avenue in Albuquerque NM 87102.
We offer weeks of paid training. The hours of the training will be based on schedule or will be discussed on your first day of employment. Training will be conducted onsite.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Accurately schedules and coordinates patient appointments for assigned clinics.
- The ability to work in a high call volume environment while meeting productivity and quality standards.
- Analyzing provider schedules to ensure maximum capacity is met.
- Obtains eligibility and benefit information in a timely manner: assigning FSC (Financial Class) entering benefits and all other related activities i.e. transfers, demographic data changes in IDX.
- Registers patients in IDX including updating patient demographics, current insurance information, current primary care provider, emergency contacts, and all relevant fields.
- Uses appropriate text templates in the electronic health record, tasks clinic teammates using the electronic health record, and ability to multitask between business office systems and the electronic health record.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma / GED
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- 1+ years related healthcare experience to include scheduling experience and in verification of eligibility and benefits
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology, and proficiency with computer systems, Microsoft Word
- Microsoft Excel
