The opportunity:

Our Sales Specialists are analytical, passionate about Clutter’s growth, product offerings and educating future customers on Clutter policy, process, and services. Sales Specialists are responsible for providing pre-reservation to pre-onboarding support to all potential customers, upselling Clutter’s products (protection plans, supplies, unit sizes,) and provide retention support for existing customers. Sales Specialists will complete outbound sales calls to improve Clutter’s customer acquisition rate by closing on reservations and leads.  We are looking for a detail-oriented Sales Specialist to join this collaborative, fully-remote team.

This is an hourly position that is fully remote, may require overtime, and reports to the Sales Supervisor.

What you get:

  • $22.00 per hour starting pay
  • Uncapped per booking commission on eligible completed appointments 
  • Schedules – Five 8.5 hour (.5 unpaid lunch)  shifts per week .  Shift start times vary from 4:00am to 9:00am PST.  The team operates 7 days a week, weekend shifts are typical and overtime may be required depending on business need.  Shift start times and days of the week are scheduled based upon business need.

What you’ll do:

  • Conduct outbound sales calls, emails & SMS; overcome objections and successfully acquire new customers by closing on reservation
  • Manage the pre-reservation process for potential customers via phone, email and SMS; by addressing questions, concerns, overcoming objections, about Clutter services, and process
  • Build rapport, demonstrate empathy & develop customer confidence in Clutter services during all customer interactions
  • Fully educate pre-reservation customers on Clutter services, policies and process, thus minimizing future pain-points and maximizing customer satisfaction 
  • Support Clutter’s reservation to rental goals through increasing customer satisfaction by upselling Clutter products(protection plans, supplies, & unit sizes)
  • Champion Clutter Moving Customers, by taking ownership of their experience from the moment they become interested in Clutter Moving through pre-reservation to booking to the completion of service
  • Assist the Clutter CX departments with supplemental customer support tasks per business need

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree (preferred – not required)
  • Availability to work on weekends required
  • High speed Internet connection required
  • 1+ years of sales experience or similar professional experience in a customer facing role
  • Consistent track record of success
  • Passion for technology and respect for the process
  • Self-starter, possesses flexibility to work in a fast-changing environment with flexible shifts and ambiguous situations
  • Strong communicator who enjoy building rapport with customers and closing on sales leads
  • Experience or understanding of how to work and collaborate with a remote, distributed team
