The Sales Conversion Specialist (SCS) will provide new customers in our SME organization with post-sale support by building strong relationships and confidence with the client in an effort to deliver a flawless implementation process.  The SCS will act as a consultant to the post-sale process, supporting our SME Manager of Business Development professionals (MBDs) and corresponding Director of Sales leader. The SCS role is critical in helping drive more wins, develop valuable sales and improve the customer experience through the sales process.

The SCS will optimize the implementation process and reinforce the value of a smooth transition to GBT while alleviating post-sale activities for MBDs. This role will enhance SME’s value proposition thorough consultation, coordination of implementation processes and acting as liaison between sales, client management, implementations, early engagement, and the new client partner.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Lead new client post -sale implementations through post launch activities, creating and delivering a great customer experience while driving growth through expected client revenue
  • Participate and collaborate with the MBD in post-sale debriefs to ensure: clear understanding of the business sold, all client requirements, nuances and intricacies of the deal.
  • Engage in transitional calls with the MBD & Client to review implementation processes, data gathering and next steps.  Drive strong relationship and success with ongoing implementation calls with the client until debut is completed.
  • Deliver client focused solutions using various data processes, account tracking and monitoring creating a successful partnership for our clients and SME.
  • Increase profitability through a combination of identifying and delivering solutions throughout the pre and post implementation process, data analysis and exceptional relationship management and consultative skills.
  • Penetrate accounts with a focus on driving transactions, premium revenue, and supplier revenue.

Qualifications:

  • 3- 5 years’ working in a travel industry.
  • Must be able to identify client needs and come up with innovative solutions
  • Must have strong understanding of the external market and in-depth knowledge of the power of the GBT value proposition.
  • Must be able to identify and understand client needs, motivations and “hot” buttons in order to develop focused solutions.
  • Proven success in consultative selling is required, in addition to demonstrating success in increasing client profitability.
  • High motivation for success and performance required.
  • Proven innovative problem-solving and strong decision-making skills required.
  • Ability to maintain active workload by excellent prioritization and planning skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills, including the ability to handle objections and achieve mutually beneficial solutions.
  • Demonstrate ability to quickly learn, understand and articulate key product and value services in a variety of contexts.

LocationUnited States – Illinois – Virtual Location

The US national annual base salary range for this position is from $46,000 to $93,000.  The national range provided includes the base salary that GBT expects to pay for the role.  Actual base salary will be based on factors including the scope and complexity of the role and the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location.

In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for an annual Performance Based Incentive, which rewards participants based on company performance, one of our metric-driven Sales Incentive Plans (certain direct sales roles only), or one of our Client Management Incentive Award (CMIA) programs.  An eligible employee can only participate in one of these plans during an eligible period.  For information about our comprehensive US benefits programs and eligibility, please review our Benefits-at-a-Glance document.
