Support MedScope, a division of Medical Guardian, by managing Medicaid payer accounts and securing accurate, timely reimbursement for life-saving medical alert services. This role combines analytical problem-solving with claims expertise and gives you space to work independently while still being part of a tight-knit team.
Schedule
- Full-time, remote
- Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm EST
- Eligible states: PA, DE, GA, MI, NC, TX, NJ, FL
- $22/hour
What You’ll Do
- Own a portfolio of Medicaid payer accounts
- Track, follow up, and resolve unpaid and denied claims
- Analyze account activity and appeal incorrect denials
- Communicate with care managers and payers (minimal to no patient contact)
- Submit corrected and reconsideration claims
- Monitor timely filing limits and authorization requirements
- Identify reimbursement trends and escalate issues
- Maintain detailed, accurate documentation within billing systems
- Meet performance targets and deadlines
What You Need
Required
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Experience working independently in a remote environment
- Organized, deadline-driven, reliable
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Preferred
- HS diploma required; associate or bachelor’s preferred
- 2+ years medical billing or revenue cycle experience
- Knowledge of Medicaid policies and MCO workflows
- Prior AR follow-up and denial management experience
- Salesforce or Waystar familiarity
