Schedule
Full-time, remote position. Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. EST.
Eligible states: PA, DE, GA, MI, NC, TX, NJ, and FL only.
What You’ll Do
- Manage a portfolio of Medicaid payers to ensure accurate and timely claims reimbursement.
- Conduct follow-ups on outstanding claims, resolving denials and underpayments per payer policy.
- Review, analyze, and appeal denied claims to ensure compliance and recovery of owed funds.
- Communicate with insurance companies and care managers to resolve complex billing issues.
- Maintain detailed documentation of all claim activity in the billing system.
- Monitor payer-specific timelines, filing requirements, and authorization processes.
- Identify claim or denial trends and report findings to management for resolution.
- Submit corrected or reconsidered claims as needed and meet all departmental KPIs.
What You Need
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- 2+ years of experience in medical billing, A/R follow-up, or revenue cycle management.
- Knowledge of Medicaid and Managed Care Organization billing processes (preferred).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Salesforce or Waystar experience a plus.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
