- Position: Retirement Support Specialist
- Location: Remote, based in/around Charlotte, NC
- Type: Full-time
- Hours: Standard business hours, Monday–Friday
- Remote requirements: Distraction-free workspace and internet speed of at least 25 Mbps (higher if others share the connection); able to work independently during business hours
What You’ll Do
- Assist clients with census updates to support compliance testing and employer contribution calculations for 401(k) plans.
- Participate in proactive call and email campaigns to keep clients informed about key plan deliverables.
- Support Client Services by creating and maintaining reports, including FDI-related reporting.
- Apply quality control checks on all reports before they’re sent to internal or external users.
- Respond to client requests via email, outbound calls, and internal workflows with clear, timely follow-through.
- Maintain detailed workflow documentation and tracking for all reporting functions.
- Evaluate data integrity and help resolve issues with minimal disruption to clients.
- Make outbound calls to verify client data and follow up on campaigns as needed.
- Provide backup support for functions previously handled by Shared Services.
- Protect and properly handle all confidential data in line with security and privacy standards.
What You Need
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Comfortable with information systems and technology; able to create ad hoc reports.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to evaluate data integrity.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid evaluation, problem-solving, and issue-resolution skills.
- Able to work independently with limited supervision while contributing to a cohesive team.
- Reliable high-speed internet (25 Mbps+ for individual use) and a quiet, uninterrupted workspace during business hours.
