Your Role…

By exhibiting exceptional teamwork, boundless curiosity, and the utmost care, the Retail Project Coordinator will assist the Store Development team to fulfill Blick’s commitment to our customers, the Arts, and our local communities. The Retail Project Coordinator will do this through coordinating and implementing the staging, assembly, installation, disposal, and maintenance of sales floor fixtures and displays, Custom Services/Design Center fixtures and equipment, and back of house fixtures and equipment. The Retail Project Coordinator will also collaborate with vendors and store associates to ensure project expectations and execution is correct and meets high quality standards.

 Responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for reset activity, shelf conditions, tear down/rebuild, and POG completion.
  • Resetting shelving elevations and installing new shelves or small displays onto gondolas.
  • Installing shelf accessories like dividers, wire baskets, clips, etc.
  • Delegate and prioritize tasks according to severity and importance.
  • Able to read and understand store layouts and POGs.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure that fixtures are properly assembled, stable, and secure. Make necessary adjustments or repairs as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including fixture assembly instructions, installation schedules, and any issues encountered during installations.
  • Communicate effectively with Project Manager, Vendors and Store Team members to understand project requirements, timelines, and any on-site changes.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, as well as specialized equipment, to complete fixture installations.
  • Lead, supervise or direct a team of store-based associates or temporary workers.
  • Possess the authority to exercise discretion and independent judgment with respect to reset activity, shelf conditions, tear down/rebuild, and POG completion.

General Requirements:

  • Must have knowledge of store fixtures & installation – metal fixtures / gondola – light and heavy duty / type or brand of racking (Lozier or Streeter) / some millwork or floor fixtures / perimeter wall fixturing / signage installation.
  • Read and understand plans.
  • Previous experience in fixture installation, construction, carpentry, or a similar role is preferred.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and precision in assembling and installing fixtures.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to follow direction and learn new skills
  • Adaptability in a changing environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Positive, eager, solution-oriented, professional attitude.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Availability to work flexible schedules including day/evening/weekend shifts and holidays as required by the needs of the business.
  • Regular attendance in accordance with the attendance policy.

Supervisory Responsibility:

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds while using the appropriate lifting techniques and following all safety rules.
  • Must be able to stand, bend, kneel, stoop, reach, push, and pull for extended periods of time.
  • Prolonged walking, standing, and climbing ladders.

Travel:

  • Be willing to travel to various locations, which may require overnight stays, as projects demand. Travel can be up to 70% and may include weekends.
  • Must be able to travel to all store location 

Qualifications:

  • High School Graduate or equivalent.
  • Vocational training or certification in carpentry, construction, or a related field is a plus.
