Schedule
- Position type: Full-time, remote
- Work location: Remote within eligible states (AL, AZ, AR, DE, FL, GA, ID, IN, IA, KS, KY, LA, MS, MO, MT, NE, NH, NC, ND, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, WV, WI, WY)
- Hours: Core weekday schedule with some flexibility needed for evenings and occasional Saturdays
What You’ll Do
- Contact members and other responsible parties on high-risk, high-balance loans by phone and in writing to understand causes of delinquency
- Negotiate workable solutions and next steps while protecting the credit union’s interests
- Analyze each account and recommend appropriate actions when loan performance puts the credit union at risk
- Document all contacts, findings, and decisions accurately and thoroughly in internal systems
- Maintain composure and professionalism during difficult or escalated conversations
- Support the training and onboarding of new team members and assist with department-wide training as needed
- Collaborate with leadership by providing feedback, patterns, and risk insights from your portfolio
What You Need
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred
- At least 3 years of repossession experience with consumer, direct, and indirect auto loans
- Strong phone communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
- Proven ability to recognize issues quickly and explain facts and options clearly to members
- Ability to stay calm, courteous, and professional in pressure situations
- Comfortable working on a computer for long periods with accurate data entry
- Ability to sit for extended periods, use a headset, and handle repetitive keystrokes
- Must reside in one of the approved states listed above
