What You’ll Do
- Process and validate Release of Information (ROI) requests
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, federal, and state privacy regulations
- Retrieve and verify records from EMR and document systems
- Respond to internal and external requests via email, phone, fax, and messaging systems
- Manage incoming mail, faxes, and data entry tasks
- Review legal documentation for validity (subpoenas, affidavits, POA, etc.)
- Log and track each request through completion
- Release accurate records in required formats
- Upload scanned documents and correspondence into EMR
- Support internal teams with ROI guidance and basic training
- Communicate trends, volume shifts, and issues to HIM leadership
What You Need
- Associate’s degree or equivalent ROI experience
- 1+ year in behavioral health medical records or related healthcare records role
- Strong understanding of medical record handling and confidentiality
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficient with email, phones, fax, scanners, and digital tools
- Strong English communication skills, written and verbal
- Ability to manage priorities in a fast-moving environment
- Comfort using tools like Google Suite, Slack, EMR systems, Salesforce, Zoom, etc.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and not located in prohibited states

Benefits
