Schedule
- Full-time, Remote (U.S.)
- Must be flexible with schedule and hours
- Overtime may be required
- Weekend availability as needed
What You’ll Do
- Collect and review patient insurance benefit information
- Assist physician office staff and patients with completing and submitting insurance forms
- Complete and submit prior authorization forms to third-party payors; track and follow up on requests
- Provide timely and accurate customer service to providers, payors, and clients
- Maintain frequent contact with provider representatives, insurance reps, and pharmacy staff
- Report reimbursement trends or delays to leadership
- Process insurance and patient correspondence
- Provide required documentation for prior authorization (demographics, referrals, NPI, physician info)
- Collaborate with inter-departmental associates as needed
- Document and report all interactions in CareMetx Connect system
- Escalate adverse events (AE) per SOP requirements
- Perform other related duties as assigned
What You Need
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 1+ years of experience in a specialty pharmacy, medical insurance, physician’s office, or related healthcare setting
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to build productive working relationships
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- General knowledge of pharmacy and medical benefits
- Familiarity with commercial and government payors (preferred)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong time management skills and customer focus
