GI Alliance is seeking an experienced Insurance Verification Representative.
Duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Position purpose
The Insurance Verification Analyst I verifies patient insurance and cost share amounts remaining prior to office appointments and procedures.
Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks

- Using various resources, determine if GI Alliance accepts the patient’s insurance.
- Verify patient’s benefits by means of phone, fax, and web portal and notate clearly in the EMR
- Reach out to patients via Klara workflows if insurance has expired asking for updated insurance information.
- Maintain productivity standards and performance guidelines while complying with all applicable company policies.
- Escalate accounts to leadership, clinicians, and/or internal departments as needed to resolve pending issues.
- Maintain accurate and complete documentation of progress in patient’s chart.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Experience: 2-5 years of prior insurance verification experience preferred.
Performance Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient technical (computer) skills.
- Excellent customer service skills are required.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to read and understand medical benefits
- Bilingual is a plus.
- Detail-oriented.
- Self-motivated with initiative.
- Strong sense of ethics.
Equipment Operated: This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Work Environment: Working remotely.
