Summary

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Recruitment Specialist is a highly visible team member who will act as a subject matter expert for recruitment and help to improve and implement the current process, championing best practice recruitment and striving to deliver a fantastic candidate experience. During a time of strategic growth, this new position collaborates with hiring managers, coaches candidates  in the recruiting process, actively cultivates relationships with the hiring team , and promotes a high level of engagement, collaboration, and respect throughout the recruitment and hiring process. The Recruitment Specialist will be responsible for attracting top talent while ensuring an equitable and efficient process. This role will require U.S. and global recruitment. This is an extraordinary opportunity for someone with hands-on recruiting experience to make an impact in a mission-driven organization.

This is a full-time, 40 hour per week, exempt position, which can be based in MiracleFeet’s Chapel Hill, NC office or remote in the U.S., with a strong preference for candidates located on the East Coast. Candidates outside of the U.S. will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Essential Functions

Recruitment

  • Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process.
  • Collaborates with hiring managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and criteria.
  • Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruitment methods and strategies; keeps up with industry trends, making recommendations for adjustments as needed.
  • Assists with job posting and advertisement processes to promote our organization’s culture and values through compelling recruitment content.
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies to build pipeline for potential applicants.
  • Sources applicants through online channels such as LinkedIn and other professional networks.
  • Evaluate candidates through interviews, test, and other assessment methods.
  • Schedules all interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring materials.
  • Debriefs with hiring managers frequently after the interviews and provide necessary information to both parties involved.
  • Collaborates with the hiring manager and Human Resources Manager during the offer process, identifying salary ranges, start dates and other pertinent details.
  • Perform phone screens and reference and background checks.
  • Provide yearly reports on recruitment metrics and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
  • Support creation of additional hiring resources.
  • Performs other recruitment duties as assigned.

Onboarding

  • Assist Human Resources Manager with effective onboarding programs for new hires.
  • Coordinate welcome introductions to team members and share necessary company culture materials.
  • Ensure new hires have the necessary information, resources, tools, and support for a smooth transition.

Administration

  • Maintain a high level of organization and follow-through on assigned tasks.
  • Utilize HR information systems effectively and maintain data accuracy such as in BambooHR.
  • Perform additional activities in service of a team culture of excellence, care, inclusivity and belonging.

Qualifications

  • If you’ve got at least 2-3 years of experience (especially in human resources, preferably in a nonprofit or public health setting), that’s a huge bonus!

  • Exposure to global recruitment practices and experience of working within a global organization preferred.
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems
  • Experience proactively sourcing candidates a major plus
  • SHRM-SHRM-CP, PHR or SPHR a plus!

Salary/Benefits

  • Salary range $50,000-$60,000
  • Health insurance provided (90% of medical covered for the employee, with option to add family members and dental and vision at employee’s expense)
