- Environment: Work from home, collaborating with reimbursement, billing, and collections teams
- Focus: Billing, collections, claim follow up, and reimbursement accuracy for infusion services
What You’ll Do
- Submit timely, accurate invoices to payers for home infusion products and services
- Review contracts, fee schedules, and authorizations to ensure correct quantities, prices, and documentation
- Verify that all billed services/products were properly ordered and provided
- Evaluate payments received, confirm they match contracted rates, and apply them accurately to patient accounts
- Generate and mail secondary claims and patient invoices within 48 hours of payment when required
- Identify and report overpayments or duplicate payments to the Reimbursement Manager
- Transfer payments belonging to other offices within 48 hours of receipt
- Follow up on submitted claims to ensure prompt payment and confirm payer receipt/processing
- Send letters and statements when payers delay or deny payment; follow up on denials within 48 hours
- Support billing and collection training as needed and assist with second-level appeals
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect patient and business confidentiality at all times
What You Need
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 0–6 months of prior infusion reimbursement or intake/admissions experience (medical billing or collections experience a plus)
- Basic Microsoft Excel skills (open/edit workbooks, format cells, simple edits, print)
- Basic Microsoft Word skills (edit text, adjust formatting, use basic tools, print)
- Strong attention to detail and comfort working with numbers
- Ability to follow structured processes while spotting and correcting errors
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Reliability, accountability, and the ability to work independently from home
