- Standard business hours with occasional flexibility around release cycles and deadlines
- Highly collaborative with engineers, product, and QA in a virtual environment
What You’ll Do
- Design and develop automated tests for web applications using Cypress and Cucumber BDD
- Implement, maintain, and improve automated test scripts and test frameworks to support CI/CD
- Execute automated test suites, analyze results, and drive defect resolution with the engineering team
- Work closely with product owners and developers to understand requirements, acceptance criteria, and edge cases
- Maintain a deep understanding of application functionality, business processes, and testing protocols
- Interpret system diagrams and plan test coverage to ensure applications are protected by the right types of tests
- Collaborate with development teams to assess risk, design test plans, and support testing as projects move toward production
- Document test plans, test cases, and results so completed projects can be deployed confidently without regressions
- Take ownership of the overall quality assurance process and contribute to continuous improvement
What You Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience as a QA Automation Engineer, Software Engineer, or SDET (or a combination of education and experience)
- Functional knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript
- Hands-on experience with Cypress and Cucumber BDD (highly preferred)
- Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, strategies, and best practices
- Familiarity with SQL or NoSQL database concepts
- Experience working in Agile environments
- Strong attention to detail, ability to focus under deadlines, and comfort working in a collaborative team setting
