Location: NYSDOT office in New York or home-based in the United States
Position Summary:
Bentley Systems is looking for a ProjectWise Consultant with a combination of strong technical, communication, negotiation and writing skills, who can also demonstrate initiative. This role provides our users the highest level of professional services in the configuration, coaching and training for the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT).
Your Day-to-Day:
- Leading the adoption of our ProjectWise solution within NYSDOT. This will include engaging with the users on all aspects of their business
- Perform ProjectWise related activities such as installing (on-premise), configuring and troubleshooting the software; and staying current with upgrades and product updates
- Understanding and communicating best practices for administrative tasks including the maintenance of data sources, standards and business processes, along with developing procedures that allow designers to collaborate as a team, with internal and (potentially) external colleagues
- Assist users in becoming more proficient in the use and configuration of ProjectWise Design Integration, ProjectWise Explorer, ProjectWise Web Services and Design Review
- Define and convey user configuration and workflow needs to meet specific business requirements
- Deliver ProjectWise Administrator and User training
- Work on major projects with little to no supervision, while coordinating and directing other consultants when necessary
- Preparing and executing presentations to high-level user management and the general user community while duly representing Bentley
- Report project progress, proactively diagnose and resolve project issues
- This is an individual contributor role
- This is a full-time role expected to work 40 hours per week
- This role require communication with Managers, peers and other colleagues of the company in person, and/or by utilizing Microsoft Teams chat, calling and meeting functions.
- Requires sitting or standing at will while performing work on a computer (or any other physical requirements).
What You Bring to The Team:
- Comprehensive understanding of electronic document management with a strong emphasis on engineering design, including BIM and document/collaboration management standards
- 3-5 years experience in administrating ProjectWise Design Integration required
- An expert understanding of multiple ProjectWise Cloud services with Design Review a plus
- Understanding of relational databases, including administration, operation, and maintenance with Oracle and/or Microsoft SQL Server
- Knowledge of networking, including TCP/IP and Microsoft active directory a plus
- An understanding of Microsoft technologies including Teams and SharePoint a plus
- Microsoft PowerShell / ProjectWise PowerShell Cmdlet understanding a plus
- Ability to travel 25%, primarily in the hiring region
- Relationship management: Able to develop rapport with others and recognize their concerns and feelings; build and maintain long-term associations based on trust. Ability to be a strong team player and communicate effectively among a diverse work team in multiple locations across the globe. Confident in dealing with technical experts, sales colleagues, engineers senior management and working in the technology field
- Communication: Able to clearly present information through the spoken or written work; read and interpret complex information; talk with and listen to our users
- Plan, prioritize and goal setting: Able to prepare for emerging user needs; manage multiple projects; determine project urgency in a meaningful and practical way; use goals to guide actions and create detailed action plans; organize and schedule people and tasks. Handle pressure situations, especially when dealing with complex client requirements
