Schedule
- Full-time, permanent role
- Fully remote (US), headquartered in Chicago, IL
- Standard weekday office hours (set by team/department)
- Requires reliable high-speed internet (minimum 100 Mbps download / 25 Mbps upload) for secure remote access and systems use
What You’ll Do
- Act as a key liaison between members, agents, and internal admin teams to resolve claim issues via email and other channels
- Use Outlook and internal platforms to communicate claim status and updates to members and brokers
- Investigate open claims to ensure timely processing and payment, advocating for members throughout the process
- Manage and push failed claims over $10K through the IPAO process until completion
- Support and back up the Administrator team as needed on claim-related tasks
- Handle escalated claim issues, coordinate with the right internal teams, and see resolutions through to completion
- Process fee claims for Case Management, Enhanced Case Management, HRA Pharmacy claims, and other vendor fees
- Apply a strong understanding of workflows and business processes to support BPO client service strategy
- Maintain tracking tools, spreadsheets, and reports related to claims activity and special projects
- Support ad hoc operations projects and other duties as assigned
What You Need
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (required)
- 2+ years in an administrative or data entry role (required)
- Group health insurance/benefits or medical claims experience (preferred)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially over email
- Excellent organization, time management, and attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle escalations calmly and professionally
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, sometimes high-pressure environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Outlook, Excel, and related tools)
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and collaborate with remote teams
