- Full time, work-from-home
- Training: Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Central Time
- Production: Monday–Friday, between 7:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Central Time (8-hour shifts within this window)
- No weekend work
- 100 percent attendance required during training and first 60 days
What You’ll Do
- Take inbound calls and faxes from members, providers, and internal departments about medication prior authorizations.
- Provide clear status updates on prior authorization requests and approvals.
- Review medication-related inquiries and follow up with healthcare providers for additional information when needed.
- Review provider documentation and accurately interpret and enter data into internal systems.
- Navigate multiple systems, update records, and ensure information is complete and accurate.
- Meet performance, quality, and attendance metrics in a fast-paced, remote environment.
- Work independently while contributing positively to a remote team culture.
What You Need
- At least 1 year of healthcare, claims, or medical administrative work experience.
- At least 2 years of customer service or call center experience.
- At least 6 months of recent continuous employment with a previous employer.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Windows, data entry, and general systems aptitude.
- Knowledge of medical and healthcare terminology.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, manage multiple screens, and stay accurate under time pressure.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Reliable, hardwired internet with minimum speeds of 25 Mbps download / 10 Mbps upload.
- Ability to provide your own:
- 19-inch (or larger) monitor with VGA or HDMI port and cable
- USB-wired mouse
- Ethernet cable
- Optional USB-wired keyboard
- Willingness to be on camera for interviews, training, meetings, and check-ins.
- No planned time off during the first 60 days of employment.
- Prior experience managing or processing medication prior authorizations is highly preferred.
Benefits
- Base pay:
- 16 dollars per hour for training and nesting
- 16.50 dollars per hour in production
- Bonus opportunity:
- Earn up to an extra 2 dollars per hour during the 2-week training and 2-week nesting period by meeting performance and attendance goals (potentially up to 18 dollars per hour).
