Schedule
- Fully remote role within the United States
- Full-time position
- Set schedule between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Central Time (final hours determined during hiring)
What You’ll Do
- Accept and process assigned 835 batches accurately and efficiently
- Identify and correct remittance errors within 835 files
- Post self-pay remittances to guarantor/patient accounts
- Manually post EOBs from EFT and paper checks, including denials and related follow-up notes
- Close each batch by reconciling payments and verifying control totals
- Understand and post insurance recoupments based on 835 or paper EOBs using correct payment codes
- Post and research unidentified payments, ensuring they are applied to the correct accounts
- Work unmatched 835s, including missing payments and discrepancies
- Complete additional tasks assigned by the Lead or Manager to support the revenue cycle team
What You Need
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of Revenue Cycle Management experience
- Experience reading and understanding EOBs
- Knowledge of primary, secondary, and tertiary insurance billing
- Strong attention to detail with solid analytical and time management skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, with people from diverse backgrounds
- Comfort navigating multiple software applications and adapting quickly to new tools
- Proven ability to exercise independent judgment, work as a self-starter, and collaborate in a team environment
